My name is Moira and I'm a 20 year old Marketing Communications student at Emerson College. I'm from right outside Chicago, and I'm from a big family that has shaped my outlook on life.

One of the biggest parts of my life has been playing volleyball. Growing up, my siblings and I would play volleyball in the backyard. I used to go to all of their games. Having the opportunity to be around sports my entire life and watching my siblings play has truly impacted the person I am.Volleyball has taught me how to manage my time school family, and practices all at once. I have learned how to become a leader and teammate. Lastly, it has truly taught me the importance of hard work, and to take pride in going after your dreams.  Throughout my years of playing on a team sport, the most important thing that I have learned is that even after countless hours of practice and training, in the end there's still a chance that your team won't be winning every game. You can still fail at times even if you worked harder than anyone, but you can't give up on your dreams.
